What is Jezebel? We have heard about this word times without numbers, especially during a sermon in churches and during the crusades. 

Jezebel means both in real life and in the Bible are the same, but real life deals with the definition physically, in the Bible we can also see it written in words, but this trait of Jezebel can be seen or recorded in someone or something. 

What Does Jezebel Mean In The Bible

As we said above, Jezebel’s meaning can also be interpreted in real-life circumstances.

Jezebel in the Bible is a vindictive woman, a wicked, unrepentant soul who uses her beauty and sexuality to manipulate people to her interests. 

The story of this wicked woman is shown in 1st kings chapter 21. It was said that she was married to Ahab, who is the king of Israel.

The act of wickedness in this woman is not only shown in her but there are also other few people in the Bible and a lot of individuals on the planet earth who can match her for corruption and wickedness. 

Jezebel in Hebrew definition or terms shows this woman as an “unfaithful wife” and you know what that means, so if your wife cheats on you, she ultimately has this Jezebel spirit. 

As said in this article above, Jezebel was married to King Ahab of Israel, who was known by a lot of folks and individuals to be weak-willed and someone who is easily manipulated by her queen known as Jezebel.

Owing to her dangerous and wicked lifestyle, she brought her idols and false prophets into Israel and encouraged Ahab to follow her idolatrous practices. 

One faithful day, she had 450 priests of Baal slaughtered because they would not cease their worship of Yahweh (the God of Israel).

In response to this shocking act, Elijah confronted Jezebel with her deeds and ultimately led Ahab back to worshipping God again.

What Killed Queen Jezebel? 

It was said in the Bible that this horrible woman died a very devastating and strange death. It was said that her body was thrown down from the very high window and as she smashed the floor, her body was thorned and devoured by hungry dogs to fulfill the prediction of Elijah, God’s prophet. Ohh, what a horrible death! 

Spirit Of Wickedness 

It is easy to detect the spirit of Jezebel, although Queen Jezebel is a physical being, her behavior seems to be in a spirit form. 

In the book of Revelation, we read about queen Jezebel. This is actually not a person but instead a spirit. Many spirits are not from God that can come against us and try to destroy us.

If you have no feelings for a human if you are always wicked in your thoughts and doings, or a murderer as well, t is said that you possess Jezebel spirit How can you change from this spirit? You will know what to do below.

How To Change From The Spirit Of Jezebel To Good

Yeah, sometimes life changes us to do things that are not right in the sight of the lord, life changes us to be wicked. But think of it, must we always be wicked? What are we going to benefit from being wicked?

Absolutely nothing, we gain nothing from showing the act of wickedness. Yes, it might please and ease our minds, but it is wrong in the sight of the lord.

How do you control this spirit of Jezebel? How will you change from bad to good? This might have been bothering your mind especially if you decided to turn a new leaf.

It is not a new thing that everyone has a dark side, the trick is learning how to control it and use it in our favor. We can change to good behavior if we believe within our minds that we can indeed change.

The motivation must be there, the thought of positive change must give rise in us, and we must decide to turn a new leaf. After this, we will need to put all our plans into God’s hands and he will finish the work and cleanse us.
