AAUW International Fellowships in USA – AAUW Fellowship Program 2023–2024 is a fully funded award scholarship. The American Association of University Women, U.S.A., is offering this opportunity. Students from around the world are welcome to submit their applications. The scholarship is available only to postgraduate and graduate students in any subject at a university. This AAUW Fellowship Program offers funds ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 annually and is subject to academic standards for renewal.

AAUW Fellowship recipients receive the following advantages:

- Professional events, conferences, or seminars should not exceed 10 percent of the membership.
AAUW Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements are to be considered for AAUW Fellowships.
- Language requirement: English.
- All countries worldwide are eligible, except for the United States.
- Women who are or plan to become U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or dual citizens of the United States and other countries are not ineligible.
- Have earned an academic qualification (in the United States or abroad) equivalent to a bachelor’s level degree in the United States by November 15, 2022.
- Aim to give all-time focus on the proposed academic program during this fellowship season.
- She plans to return to her home country to pursue a career in the field.
- Be fluent in English if an applicant must show proof that English is her primary language or that she earned her secondary diploma or undergraduate degree from an English-speaking institution (transcript required). Or has completed a semester of full-time studies in her chosen field at an English-speaking school or university between October 2019 and November 2021. (Transcript required) To be eligible, she needs to submit a recent ETS TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score. Minimum acceptable scores: 550 on the test on paper and 79 for the online-based test or 60 on the test that is the Revised TOEFL Test for Paper Delivery.
Procedure to Apply

- Doctoral applicants must have applied to an accredited university for the fellowship year before November 15, 2022, and should mention the names of their institutions on their International Fellowship application.
- First professional fellowships (also known as Master’s) are offered to masters or professional degree programs like J.D., M.F.A., L.L.M., or medical degrees like M.D., D.D.S., and more.
- Doctoral fellowships are awarded to doctoral students with Ph.D. or Ed.D.
- Postdoctoral candidates must present evidence of their doctoral degree or hold the doctorate recognized at the Research level (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., D.B.A., D.M.) as well as an M.F.A. or an M.F.A. by November 15, 2021, and specify where their research will take place.
- Master’s/first professional degree applicants, as well as doctoral applicants, must be enrolled in the U.S.
- W.I. members can be eligible for the award of a small number for research or study in any other country than their home country.
- The applicant must be enrolled in a full-year course of research or study. International Fellowships cannot provide for the cost of one semester of research or study. The fellowship year ends before the end of April in the fellowship year is not eligible.
- Doctoral fellowships are a supplement to traditional classroom-based university studies. This fellowship program does not provide online learning, distance learning courses, or degrees that heavily rely on using distance learning components. AAUW will make the final determination on what constitutes “distance learning” under these fellowships.
