Neco, on the other hand, is not always regarded by so many students specifically Nigerian students because it is a Nigerian-based examination that has the same power as Waec but is active only in Nigeria.

You can’t enter any higher institution in Nigeria without having either waec or Neco.

2. Jamb

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (Jamb) is another exam that is very important as long as Nigeria’s Educational sector is concerned.

Nobody centred university without having a good grade in their jamb score.

Jamb examination is always ICT based which means you don’t need to carry your pen and paper just like in the case of WAEC and NECO.

In Nigeria today, you need a minimum of 160 in your jamb for you to be qualified to apply for any university, though different universities also have their cut-off marks and requirements the major requirement (score) for jamb is 160.

After your secondary school education, you will be required to apply for the Jamb examination and if you pass after the examination, you will then proceed to start your university application.

  How To Pass NECO Excellently

Note: during your jamb registration, you will indicate the school you want to attend, so they can put it on record in case you want to graduate, they should see your name on their record.

One of the powers that jamb have is that if they don’t give you admission, you will not be considered in the university of your choice.
