Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo is a Nigerian evangelist, Christian author, entrepreneur, and architect.
Bishop David Oyedepo is a best-selling author and publisher of over 70 books. He is the chairman and publisher of Dominion Publishing House, the ministry’s publishing division (DPH). More than 4 million DPH prints have been distributed to date. It was dedicated on December 5, 1992.
He is the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and the presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State (Winners Chapel).
The church network of Winners Chapel International includes many states in Nigeria as well as multiple countries around the world. Bishop Oyedepo is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most compelling orators and a pioneer of the Christian charismatic movement in Africa. He serves as chancellor of Covenant University as well as Landmark University. In 2011, Forbes magazine named him the richest preacher in Nigeria.

Early life and schools.
David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Osogbo, Nigeria, on September 27, 1954. He is, however, originally from Omu-Aran in Kwara State’s Irepodun Local Government Area. He grew up in a multireligious home. His father was the Muslim healer Ibrahim. Dorcas, his mother, was a member of the Aladura movement in Nigeria, namely the Holy Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (C&S). His grandmother taught him the values of leading a Christian life by accompanying him to early morning prayers in Osogbo, where he was raised. She also emphasized the need of tithing to him.
Oyedepo studied architecture at the Kwara State Polytechnic’s Ilorin campus. He also has a PhD in Human Development from Honolulu University in Hawaii.
Personal life.
Bishop Oyedepo is the world’s wealthiest clergyman, according to Forbes, with a net worth of more than US$150 million. The church purportedly owns four private jets and a variety of structures, including those in the United States and London. Covenant University, Faith Academy, and Kingdom Heritage Model Schools have been established under Oyedepo to equip students for global influence. Crown University, a third university, is now under construction in Calabar, Cross River, Nigeria.
Oyedepo is a vocal critic of inadequate administration, leadership, and corruption throughout Africa. He is also a vocal critic of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Marriage and family.
In 1982. He decided to marry Florence Abiola Akano (now known as Faith Oyedepo). The union was blessed with amazing issues. (David Jr., Isaac, Love, and Joyce). Kenneth Copeland appointed Isaac and David Oyedepo Jr. as pastors in May 2007. While Isaac Oyedepo leads Winners’ Chapel International with his wife Ayomitide in Maryland, in the United States of America, David Oyedepo Jr. previously served as the resident pastor of the Ministry’s main church (Faith Tabernacle) with his wife Kemi. Love, Bishop Oyedepo’s first child, got married to another pastor at Winners’ Chapel, Stephen Ogah. Joyce Priscilla is his second daughter and last child. Joyce got married in 2020 to Abimbola Abodunrin.
