Pastor David Ibiyeomie is a Nigerian pastor, author, and televangelist who founded and is the presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries, which has its headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie was born on October 21, 1962 (59 years old) in Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria to the family of late Chief and Mrs. Apollos Iganibo of Bolo Town in the Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie is happily married to his lovely wife, Pst. Mrs. Peace Ibiyeomie, and together they have a son, David Ibiyeomie (Jnr.)
Pastor Ibiyeomie was reborn (became born again) in 1995. Pastor Ibiyeomie recognized his divine calling after giving his life to Christ, and as a result, he became a Pastor and Gospel instructor. His decision to train under a wonderful servant of God, Bishop David Oyedepo, was impacted by supernatural instruction.

On May 15th, 2004, Bradley University of America gave him an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Divinity in appreciation of his diligence and results-oriented Ministry.
David Ibiyeomie career
He attended Government Comprehensive Secondary School Borikiri in Rivers state for his secondary education. In 1980, he was admitted to Rivers State University of Science and Technology in Port Harcourt to study Microbiology.
In 1995, Ibiyeomie joined full-time the Word of Faith Bible Institute, a branch of David Oyedepo’s Ministry. Ibiyeomie established Salvation Ministries on April 13, 1997, with 34 people in attendance. After completing his Bible School training at Bishop David Oyedepo’s Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI), Ibiyeomie established a house fellowship with his family in Victoria Island, Lagos; he later relocated to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he established Salvation Ministries (Glorious Chapel) on April 13, 1997, with just over twenty members in attendance.
The church relocated to a larger parcel of property in July 1997. Salvation Ministries’ headquarters in 2017 had an average of 50,000 visitors every Sunday. Salvation Ministries launched 14 satellite offices in February 2011.
David Ibiyeomie controversies
Ibiyeomie has caused controversy on numerous occasions. Ibiyeomie was accused of making biased remarks about the Ogoni people in January 2017, prompting the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People to demand that he apologize.
Journalist Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo claimed in March 2017 that Ibiyeomie was having an affair with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. Olunloyo was later arrested and denied bail for slander. She has, however, been released. Ibiyeomie categorically disputed the claims.
