So some causes of apostasy are; Loving yourself more than Jesus, ignorance of Christ, making friends with the world and not with Christ, keeping bad company, bearing bad fruits, not being able to advise your children when they are going astray but instead supporting them, greed, gluttony, etc
How To Avoid Apostasy
Avoiding it is one important thing we all must do, it’s important as acquiring salvation. It should be one of our primary priorities for every Christian to avoid.
There are so many ways to avoid apostasy, you can avoid this sin by first accepting Christ into your life, you must learn to love others just the way you love yourself because it’s been said that love superseded all commandments of God, Delete from your mind of all false doctrines you have adopted.
Always study the Bible to see whether every doctrine or law you have embraced is supported by the word of God.
