How to clean my AirPods if they fall into the water?

There are two different methods you can use to clean your AirPods if they fall into the water.

#1 Dry it up:

Apple recommends you make use of a dry microfiber cloth to clean your AirPods and their charging case if they get submerged in water.

  • Get a dry microfiber cloth
  • Thoroughly clean the AirPods and charging case.
  • Keep your AirPods charging case upside down so that the water that got inside can come out.
  • Face your AirPods down so the water that might have found its way into the speaker will come out.
  • Dry them for 24 hours and check if they are still working perfectly.

You can also get bamboocharcoal packets and keep them in a closed jar with your AirPods there while they dry. Bamboo charcoal helps in getting moisture out of a surface, just like your wet AirPods.

#2 Remove the water with airwaves.

Using airwaves is another way to clean your AirPods if they fall into the water. This process is similar to when you want to eject water that enters your Apple watch.
