Good News about iPhone 14
The Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped status and alert box that never leaves the screen, is the unexpected highlight of Apple’s 2022 iPhone launch. It’s lovely, quirky, funny, and very practical, but it probably didn’t start off as anything more than a means to cover the display camera holes in the iPhone 14 Pro.
According to designer Charles Patterson on Twitter, “Dynamic Island is the hottest piece of UI I’ve seen in a long time.”
The back glass of Apple’s iPhone 14 is easier to replace than that of earlier iPhone models.
Even if the back glass was the only shattered part on older iPhones, the screen had to be taken out.
The similar design change hasn’t been applied to the iPhone 14 Pro, therefore the screen must still be removed in order to replace the rear glass.
Better low light capture and shorter exposure times have also improved low light and night photography.
With a superior True Depth front-facing camera that can handle low light settings, selfies have also been improved.
