Richard Mofe Damijo Background
On July 6, 1961, Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo was born in Delta State, specifically in Aladja, a village in the Udu Kingdom not far from Warri Delta State in the South-Southern part of Nigeria.

He attended Midwest College and Anglican Grammar School for his elementary and secondary schooling, respectively. While attending Anglican Grammar School, he joined a theatrical club.
He decided to pursue acting as a career since he loved it.
He attended the University of Benin to study theatre arts and later earned a bachelor’s degree. Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) started studying law at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 1997. He did well in his studies and received his degree in 2004.

As was previously noted, RMD began acting while still in secondary school, but his acting career really took off in the late 1980s when he starred in the serial opera “Ripples,” which propelled him to fame.
Despite being in the beginning stages of his career, he had previously worked as a reporter for Metro Magazine, The Guardian, and Concord Newspaper before committing to a career in acting full-time.
“Out of limits,” RMD’s first film that he produced, became well-known and gave him greater exposure.
RMD has worked with numerous seasoned Nollywood actors, including Zack Orji, Stella Damasus-Aboderin, Chioma Chukwuka, Liz Benson, Sola Sobowale, Bukky Ajayi, Bimbo Akintola, and many more.
Richard Mofe Marriage
The first wife of Richard Mofe-Damijo was May Ellen-Ezekiel (MEE), a journalist and publisher, and they were blessed with two children. MEE is currently late due to difficulties from a fibroid operation in a Lagos hospital.
In the year 2000, RMD married TV star Jumobi Adegbesan after the loss of his first wife, and the couple welcomed three children into the world.
He had two daughters and three boys, and he is also a grandfather to adorable grandchildren.
